Linguistic:
- Say something disrespectful to a teacher in school (you look like sh*t today)
*there is the norm that kids must respect their elders, and even more so in school as teachers are more than just 'elders'. Also, in school there is the expectation that everyone uses clean language.
completed(Mr. Klatt & Mr. Tennis)
For a whole 10 minutes before I delivered it for the first time to Mr. Klatt I was nervous, I could physically feel my heart beat faster and I repeatedly told Zein and Miral I was going to do it, hoping they will support me just to alleviate my nerves, but they didn't. So, I kept on delaying it, and had to set a goal of putting my hand up to do it at 10:18, when I finally said it to him, I felt relieved that I had completed it.
I did it a second time to Mr. Tennis in front of the whole class. I definitely felt anxious but much less than the first time. I think this might have happened not only because i'm more 'experienced' but because Mr. Klatt had a very carefree reaction to it and I figured Mr. Tennis would too have a similar reaction.
The experience would probably be much more intense if I had said it to teachers who I am not so familiar with and who don't know what's going on.
Behavioral:
- Walk into an exam late and talk very loudly.
I did do this, but it was actually an accident, i woke up 5 minutes before the test was meant to start, i rushed in and my tempo was in a complete mess so I wasn't fully aware of the setting and ended up talking loudly.
I did not feel any feelings of anxiety like I did before because the mistakes I made were genuine.
